Tobin Booth, PE

Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Booth founded Blue Oak Energy because he recognized a critical need for intelligent project design and construction planning in the photovoltaic industry. With more than a decade of experience in renewable energy, he is a national leader in the field of solar electric design. Mr. Booth previously held positions with Xantrex Technology/Trace Engineering and Schott-Applied Power and has designed and directed numerous installations, both on- and off-grid. His focus on reducing PV system costs and increasing reliability is widely acknowledged. Mr. Booth is a licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in multiple states and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.

Danny V. Lee, PhD

Director of Engineering
Dr. Lee received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Davis, an MS from Portland State University, and a BS from the University of California at Berkeley. His research focused on mechanical system design with an emphasis on sensor development and instrumentation. Dr. Lee also holds a Business Development Certificate from the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. Prior to receiving his doctorate, Dr. Lee was employed as a mechanical systems analyst at Electro-Scientific Industries in Portland, Oregon.

Amy Hoagberg, MS

Principal Engineer
Ms. Hoagberg has worked in the photovoltaics industry for over a decade. Through experience at a utility-owned solar electric test facility and for a photovoltaic manufacturer (Kyocera Solar), she has developed a broad understanding of the technology and business. Her interest in solar was cemented while building solar race cars, and she is now committed to driving solar power into a new era of broad acceptance and application. Ms. Hoagberg holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, and Arizona State University, respectively.
