12kW Off-grid Solar Electric System

Solar electric system on Farallons Island

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service comissioned Applied Power Corporation to design and install a 12kW off-grid solar electric system on Farallons Island off the coast of San Francisco. Members of our staff were part of the design and installation team. This project was honored with a prestigious energy conservation award in 1999 (U.S. Department of Energy).
