Oakland International Airport

750kW Solar Electric System

Port of Oakland’s first photovoltaic system.

Blue Oak Energy delivered the AC and DC electrical design for the Port of Oakland's first photovoltaic system. this system is located adjacent to the runway of the Portland Executive Terminal. The El electrical interconnection point for the PV system was unique and required special attention to detail to match the existing conditions at the site. The 750 kW project was designed in 2007 and commissioned in 2008.
