Daily Solar Construction Reports

April 02, 2015

Our daily construction reports deliver key information to our customers for whom we are building rooftop, carport or ground mount commercial solar energy systems. The intention is to create seamless, routine information updates with a comprehensive daily project update. The result of this fantastically simple habit is that it creates engagement with our customers and fosters foresight in our team.

Knowing that we have to submit the report at the end of every day helps us anticipate every detail on the job during the day such as material deliveries and personnel site access while simultaneously helping us track progress. We can visually see if milestones are in jeopardy before we need to escalate the issue. Because our internal team is paying attention to the site reports from the field, we're anticipating escalation  before it issues arise.

The key information we provide in this report includes: material delivery, construction milestone completion, personnel on site, and the number of days until energization. Yes "energization" is a real word. This is the term similar to "commercial operation" and this is a term we use as the initial start moment or date for a commercial solar electric system. This is the date that we live for on every commercial solar and utility scale solar project that we engineer and/or construct.

When you're ready to go on your next commercial rooftop, solar carport or utility-scale solar project, be certain to ask us for any specific information that you would like to see in your daily construction report. Until then, think solar and go solar!
